DO NOT USE SPRUCE! I paid for the signature cleaning I have a one room efficiency so paying attention to detail should’ve been easy. I specifically requested to pay attention to the floors mopping them. Not only did they not mop they didn’t even sweep in some areas. My cabinets still have food on them. The fridge was only mildly cleaned off but areas left untouched. The furniture was not wiped and the bathroom counters had unclean areas. I had to come in cleaning what was not done. Feeling like I could’ve did this myself and wasted money. I complained and all they said they could with their probably AI response is they would give me a $25 credit on my next cleaning, as if I want to ever use them again. Oh don’t be fooled by the AI pictures they send you when done they are not what your place looks like up close.DON’T USE THIS COMPANY OR AT YOUR OWN RISK.

DEC. 30th, 2024 CLEANING DATE. *I had to move out the next day. PART 1: I paid my signature cleaning fees 48 hours according to their policy. They said the person would show up between 1 and 5:00 p.m. and the guy showed up at literally 5 minutes to 5:00 p.m. PART 2: The cleaner looked miserable, evident he didn’t want to be there, didn’t say one word to us and just started cleaning the bathroom. Within 5 minutes he said he had asthma and there was too much dust. I had moved furniture & wiped down all areas – so that wasn’t true. Then he left without saying a word and left us hanging. PART 3: Not only did Spruce completely screw us because we had to move out and I had to deal with the moving itself so I had to scramble to clean the house and I still couldn’t do everything to get our deposit back. PART 4: I had to argue with them for almost a month even to get partial payment back. They wouldn’t even refund the full amount I couldn’t believe that they said because the guy showed up they have to charge a certain amount! ***WARNING. DO NOT CALL THEM, OR USE THEM – IT’S NOT JUST THE MONEY; THEY DO NOT HAVE GOOD PEOPLE CLEANING AND DO NOT COMMUNICATE INTERNALLY, WHICH CREATES PROBLEMS FOR THE CLIENT! GOOD MARKETING. I’d like to ask you NOT to use Spruce – by far one of the worst experiences of my life.My apartment community director recommended that I use Spruce to clean my apartment before a friend moved in to take over the remainder of my lease. The community director expressed such confidence in Spruce that he gave me a $150 gift card. I scheduled the premium clean for $159.The day the cleaning was scheduled, I checked in with Spruce and talked to Camilla at 9am. She informed me the cleaning would happen between 9a – 5p and that they would contact me before entering the apartment. I waited until 4:45 p.m. and reached out to them as I had not been contacted about them entering the apartment, cleaning it, or even allowing me to walk through before leaving. Then Alexis at Spruce confirmed that the cleaning was done and that they sent an SMS text that I never received – the communication never happened without me reaching out to them first.I then went to the apartment later that evening to find it exactly how I left it—uncleaned. Please see the attached pictures of their “premium cleaning” services. I sent an email with all the pictures, and they offered me a $25 credit, which is complete disrespect.Again, please do NOT use Spruce cleaning.
They are so unprofessional
They are so unprofessional. If I could, I would give 0 stars. I booked a service, and they never showed up to do it within the window they gave. They offered me a 15 dollar credit, which is hysterical. Do not book, you can’t call anyone neither, it’s only text and email.
Dirty apartment? NO MORE!
I had a very dirty apartment. The woman from Spruce was willing to help me out and I was so thankful. She did a great job. I had no complaints. She was also very friendly and chatty to boot! I don’t know why they get so much hate on trustpilot. I had a great experience.
We paid $170 to clean our own apartment
High-level: Spruce only vacuumed our apartment — Berkshire Vinings in Smyrna, GA — and left it filthy then deflected responsibility, didn’t come back to clean it, only offered a tiny refund, and we had to spend hours cleaning an apartment we paid $260 to have cleaned. Details: On around Feb. 6, 2025, we paid $260 for a move out cleaning. Two days later, on Feb. 8, we entered the apartment, finding it filthy. We took several pictures: Two dirty kitchen sinks, a dirty tub, a filthy bathroom floor, filthy kitchen floor, dirty floor moulding throughout, as well as a dirty fridge and oven. We emailed and IMd customer support, requesting someone to come back asap, as our move out inspection was on Feb. 10. They stalled. Mid-day on Feb. 10, we were forced to to go to the apartment and clean it ourselves. Since they never showed up to do the job they were paid to do, we requested a full refund. Agents kept asking for pictures … and more pictures … and more pictures. I only took so many. How many do you need to prove your contractor didn’t do their job? After hours of back and forth, we only got a $70 refund. Then, days later, they gave us a $30 refund. So, we paid $170 to clean the place ourselves. This was an obviously bad job. But worse, you have a company with a culture designed to deflect and maximize immediate gain over creating lifelong customer relationships. EDIT: We have since disputed the claim with our credit card.
Charges and more charges
1. We had a cleaning scheduled that they had canceled because the dog got loose. The cleaners left without cleaning even though we texted them that a neighbor was coming to secure the dog. They charged us $35 for cancellation. 2. We rescheduled for two days later, and they charged us $20 for “late booking”.3. They didn’t give us the $20 discount for recurring cleaning, even though we have had recurring cleaning with them for a few months now and had more scheduled for the future. 4. They charged us $15 for laundry folding, which they had added that morning. We had requested it to be added two weeks earlier, but when I checked the night before, it was still not added, so we folded our own laundry. We had to pay for it anyway because we requested it, even though it was useless for us by then.5. So we paid for a 1 hour and 8 minutes cleaning of a small one-bedroom apartment in a small town in Colorado:$35 for cancelation + $109 cleaning + $20 no discount + $20 late booking + $15 useless laundry folding = $199.

I don’t even know where to begin. I paid $320 for the move out clean and they were there for one hour and did not complete over half of the checklist. Upon providing all of this information and photos to Spruce, they proceeded to tell me that there’s nothing they can do but they give me a $50 refund. Regardless of how many times I told them that $270 worth of work was not complete, being as over half of their checklist was not performed, and the complex I was leaving was going to charge me the $300 cleaning fee, they still insisted that all of the work that was not complete was only worth $50. I am now out $620 because Spruce operates on bad business conduct, horrid customer service, and pathetic workmanship. I’m fairly certain it’s actually a scam based on this over 1 week long engagement with them. I’ve never had a service I would never recommend but I’m gonna tell as many people as possible to never use this service because of how horrible my experience was. Their customer service team is horrible. They have done absolutely nothing and then have the audacity to tell me I’m out of my seven day garuntee window so they can’t come back to complete when I have been talking to them since an hour after the cleaner left on 1/29. This has been a baffling experience. Do not use this service unless you’re willing to be liable for more money than what you have to pay because your service will likely not be done, especially if you are a renter.
Zero stars honestly
I’ve given this company several chances (strictly due to convenience) and it’s never been great, but my last experience was the final straw. The cleaner spent only an hour in my apartment ($140) and didn’t sweep, mop or vacuum the floors, didn’t wipe down the counters (or anything really) in the bathroom or kitchen. Trash was left in my hallway (which I can be fined for). I basically paid $140 for them to make my bed and arrange shampoo bottles. After back and forth for days, despite photo evidence of my place being untouched, they will only give a $50 refund. So I’m disputing with my bank. Such a scam company.

*The response from the company below misrepresents the refund. They refunded me less than half of the cost and that was only after A LOT of back and forth with various reps. The fact that the response below wants to appear as if I was given an actual refund shows how slimy this company actually is*I was mad about a bizarre and horrible cleaning experience, but it was when I reached out to customer service that things really went left. Each time I responded to an email from a rep, a different rep would answer and wouldn’t follow the information in the previous emails, leading to no follow through or actual customer service. The absolute worst part though was that the reps took it upon themselves to rate my cleaning in the app as if they were me, using contents from an email I sent.This company is so mismanaged and slimy, I doubt it’s gonna be around much longer.
Bad service “after the sale”
I was quite satisfied with much of what was cleaned/done. But they didn’t finish cleaning the shower, and they would not come back to finish the job or give me a partial refund. There’s no reason they couldn’t have sent someone back to finish the scrubbing which was one of the main reasons I hired them. Offering a partial “credit” in my account towards future service is useless when I don’t want to hire them again. Twice they cleaned the shower fine, the third time not — so why the inconsistency, and why didn’t they agree right away to come finish the job? So, while they were great with almost everything– the lack of service “after the sale” is the reason I say to you: Hire someone else.

1 star is way too high. The cleaning girl did not speak english and did not desire to communicate with me about her failure to clean my place as the website boasts of in their service. Do not use Spruce unless you want to pay the bill and have a dirty dwelling when they leave. They are rude, sloppy, substandard and full of excuses. Avoid this company and hire a professional instead.
Incredibly trash service – stolen credit card
Incredibly trash service. I’ve had issues with them not showing up countless time and I still always gave them a chance. The service is inconsistent. The last straw was when a credit card was just stolen from my apartment over the holidays. The cleaners moved my camera and dug through my drawers to find it. Shame on me for having it in reach but still.. And then once I complained the customer service team wouldn’t give me the cleaners full name but told me to write a police report? Not sure how that works. Anywho, don’t hire. It’s not even worth the “convivence.” This app should burn in the dumpster with the rest of the irrelevants.

I had a terrible experience with Spruce Cleaning, and I would not recommend them. I scheduled a cleaning on December 4th for today December 30th with a window of 1-5 PM. However, at 9:30 AM, they messaged asking if they could come between 9 AM and 1 PM instead. I agreed, but by 4 PM, I hadn’t heard from anyone, so I reached out to check in. I was then informed that they were unable to make it at all and offered me a rescheduled appointment for 01/07 and a $25 credit as compensation. I was incredibly disappointed and frustrated, especially since this was a cleaning I had planned for the New Year. I informed them that I no longer needed their service and requested a full refund. While they did process a refund, the entire experience felt unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. They should have communicated better and honored the original appointment or at least provided more clarity on the situation. Overall, it was a huge inconvenience, and I won’t be using their services again.

Spruce has extremely poor business practices. They were late for several bookings and I received calls at the very last minute from the people coming to clean that they will be late. Spruce was simply the middleman and took no accountability for meeting the appointment time. The app offers add-on cleaning services but there is no accountability for the people completing the add-on. I contacted Spruce regarding my oven which was not cleaned even though I paid an extra $25 for that to be cleaned. Spruce never responded and I instead disputed through my credit card. They banned me and that’s fine because I’ll never use them again!

My daughter paid over $200 for a deep clean of her apartment in Dallas, Texas. No one ever showed up and my daughter was sent pictures of a different apartment along with a message saying cleaning was completed. When she contacted customer service, she was told they will not issue a refund because the picture of someone else’s apartment suffices as proof her place was cleaned. Don’t spend money on this service unless you consider it a gamble!

Multiple times where once specific cleaner could not find my apartment regardless of the very detailed instructions including complex name and what the buildings look like. Reached out to the company about it each time and they said they would fix the issue yet on my move out clean booked for today this same cleaner said she couldn’t find the place causing me to not be able to get the cleaning as they had no other cleaners available. I cancelled, got my money back, and used thumbtack where I found a new company within 30 minutes who sent a cleaner out in a few hours and it cost me less than what spruce charged and the cleaning job was very well done based off video and pictures sent due to me not being able to be physically present. Stay away from this company.

Cleaning was very poor, floors were not swept or mopped, countertops were not wiped at all, and exterior cabinets were not wiped either. I am very disappointed in this service, the main thing I needed was my floors cleaned, and I even left a note to use my Bona mop and solution and the floors are still as they were before the “housekeeping”, which was very poor.

I contacted this company to complain about the services I paid for were not provided. I was told those services were only for paid premium accounts. I told them I did pay for premium service. I requested that they send another person out to finish the job. I was informed by customer service that it’s against policy to send out another person & the services would be done on my next paid visit & was given a $50 credit towards my next visit. I immediately contacted them back to say I wanted my money back for the services I had already paid for but did not receive. A different customer service person responded & refused to give me my money back but increased the credit amount to $100 towards my next paid service. Well, they hit my bank again & only applied a $20 credit of the $100 I was told I would get. I would give zero stars if I could. They take your money, do Not perform the services you pay for and refuse to give you back your money. If you enjoy being ripped off this is the company for you. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!

I live in a studio apartment that was in need of a deep cleaning. Due to the limited space I have I wasn’t able to move too many things in order to clear it out for the cleaner. Despite this, Thaila did a fantastic job working around this and spent roughly four hours on my 500 sq ft space. While 300 is pricy for a studio I couldn’t ask for her to do better job than she did. I will use this service again in the future and I would recommend it.

I have a really bad experience. I live in apartment with a gate. I gave them an instruction how to go in, my mother in low could open for them a pedestrian gate. Also we have a second gate that always open. However 3 times in a row I got a text that “our team was not able to drive through the gate”. When the last time i told them “my husband is at home, he will let you in”, they just texted “our team is already left”I am very disappointed I do not recommend this service

This is a scam organization. You pay prior to service and then they deliberate mess up with the service. And then make you follow up and follow up, you know for what – investigation. Sounds like a suspense movie.We booked premium cleaning for 10/30. Maid (Nayeli) arrived 1.5 hour late than the scheduled slot. She cleaned hardly 30% of the house and fled away with a pretext that her manager will perform rest of the cleaning. But no one arrived that evening.We raised a complaint same evening and until today their customer care team is investigating and asking us tons of questions and requesting images .Why is it so hard for them to understand that majority of the house is left unclean and service needs to rescheduled? What are they still investigating? Are they waiting for James Bond to help them with it? Seriously annoying. We wanted our house to be clean before our Diwali festival which is today and we are still following with them. May God send this company to hell and ruin. They have spoiled our festival.And the reason which they give for not completing the service is hilarious. Maid was not getting enough space to work freely and efficiently. What? They send shirkers who don’t want to work. I had my apartment cleaned and am very dissatisfied with the service. The cleaner was 30 minutes late. She chipped our granite countertop, didn’t clean exterior cabinets, didn’t clean any baseboards, and left our bedroom blankets covered in dog fur which I figured she would clean off, but did not. She spent the first 2 hours in one of our bathrooms. I let her know that I had to leave at 1:30pm for a meeting as I expected the cleaning to be finished by 1pm. She left at 12:30pm and told me that she rushed cleaning in our guest room and guest bathroom. The only things she did in both of those rooms were clean the floor, didn’t touch anything else.I chose a service directly that was recommended by my own apartment complex and am very disappointed with this especially since it cost close to $200 and I had to go through and clean more things after she left. Do not go through this cleaning service.EDIT: I did reach out to the company and they only offered a $25 credit towards this. The customer service was horrible and not the experience I was expecting when choosing a cleaning company.

Our past two visits were fine, and yes, we have clutter, but we are also very flexible and realize that they will work in only the uncluttered areas. I understand that she may have felt overwhelmed. If I could leave zero stars, absolutely would. I scheduled my first service with Spruce for today. I tried to make cleaning as easy as possible and cleared all the counters, moved all the rugs for mopping, and coordinated with my apartment to make sure they were allowed in without me present. I scheduled the cleaning for a house guest I’m having this week. During the scheduled time frame, Spruce canceled for absolutely no reason. They then automatically scheduled me for the next available time, which was several days later and not convenient for me. I cancelled. Extremely unprofessional.

Paid 280 for a move out clean and I am here cleaning two hours before my move out inspection because it was the worst move out clean I have ever had. Oven and fridge still dirty. Dust on windows sills. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

Absolutely horrible experience
I have used spruce for last few months. The service has been decent till now. The only issue till now was, they charge so much but they are mainly just doing bathroom cleaning and vacuuming of the house essentially. There is no tidying up or arranging small things.This time it was horrible. The professional came in started taking pictures of the rooms even before starting the work. And then the manager denied the cleaning. It was all because the dining room and kitchen sink had dishes. Apparently they want a clean house before they start cleaning. If that is the case, why do we need to pay them? Once all the counters are clear, then it is just vacuuming and scrubbing the counters. We can do that too ourselves. They will charge you extra for even asking them to wipe one door handle. They are not doing the whole house at the same time, then why do they want the whole area clear at once. Why can’t we use the time that they are cleaning other rooms, to clear the next room for them? Why is it so hard to make them understand that.I am super frustrated and unhappy with them today and cannot work with them any longer. They are never available on call to talk and get answers and clarification directly. How much clarification is someone gonna do via SMS and email. I am so done with company.

I’ve used Spruce a couple of times and each time I have been let down. I’ve asked them NOT to go into my bedroom but it seems like they never read the tenant notes that they allow us to add before a service. I’m 98% sure my favorite sunglasses were on my nightstand before one of the cleaners came and they’ve been missing ever since. I never said anything because the last thing I want to do is accuse someone of something they may not have done. Plus, the 2% had me thinking I left them at work. However, I still haven’t found them and I only keep my sunglasses in two places in my room. But I digress.Most importantly, my apartment looks so unsatisfactory when I get home. It’s not a very large space (and I even tell them that they don’t need to clean the bedroom) so I expect the other areas to be in tip top shape. They fold the end of the toilet paper into a triangle like at hotels and neatly fold up the throw on my couch to make things look put together, but it’s the kitchen, and especially the bathroom that I need scrubbed and looking polished. I hurt my back, which is why I even hired a housecleaner in the first place. Anyway, they had a $40 off coupon right now but $155 (that’s discounted plus tax) is WAY TOO expensive for a less than mediocre service.

OMG! Worst company ever. Some of my Tenants used them for a move out clean. Place was still so nasty. Everyone that move in to our homes from here on out will be warned. Wish I could upload pictures. Guess that’s kind of move out clean you get when they are done in an hour and a half.

Mostly they do a good job. I am a detail oriented person so I notice the little things that are overlooked. That is consistent across the board. I would like to be able to have the same person coming every time so I can have communication with them regularly about what I loved and what has been overlooked. There is no way to get any kind of consistency when I have a different person coming each time. I am thankful for what they do as I am unable to do such anymore myself.

No Communication, A Waste of Time
Booked the 9-1 window and sent a couple of chat messages as it was getting later in the day. Finally, at 12:40, I sent another chat message and was told the team was running behind (understandable) and could not make it until 4:30 (not so much). I asked for a refund and was told I should get it in 3-5 business days (which is great since no service was provided; it’s ridiculous they charge upfront anyway). In the meantime, I have wasted half my Friday and wasted money boarding my dogs. What an absolute disaster operation – I would have been totally fine with a call at around 10 or even 11 saying, “Hey, we are so sorry – can we reschedule you and offer a discount for the inconvenience?” Something. Anything.

I used this company to clean my apartment. I’m an assistant manager of an apartment complex and they asked us to advertise for them. I scheduled a cleaning but never told them who I was because I didn’t want special treatment. The girl did not speak English so I could communicate with her. She did not empty my trash, dust or mop the kitchen floor. Not sure what she did. I emailed the company about my experience and they offered me a $25.00 credit for my next cleaning. Really? At that point I identified myself and I got crickets from the company. Don’t waste your money on this company. They don’t care about the service you received but are glad to take your money

Worst experience ever with this company. I was getting ready for major surgery &I wanted a spic n span apt. I ordered the premium service. First off I’m not bilingual & couldn’t communicate w/the Spruce employee. She didn’t do anything but 1 or 2 things on the list & they weren’t even the important things. Then she left the premises w/out saying one word to me…. I didn’t even realize she had left until my son said when he saw her leave. Bottom line, I basically threw away close to $200.00. I contacted the Co. & got no refund… all they wanted was for me to take pics. Also you can’t ever actually speak to a person ever- it’s all online. So on top of extremely poor service by the maid, their customer service is also horrendous. I will NEVER use them again & I highly recommend to anyone, DONT USE THEM! I give them a grade of F-!!!
Terrible Customer Service
I have used this company off and on for over a year. I have given them multiple chances for them to give me better costumer service. The cleaners who come rush and don’t clean what they are advertising. They never dust the blinds/baseboards/or round any furniture. I remove everything from the surfaces and still they miss spots on the counters. They have also broken my glass light cover on my ceiling fan twice. They didn’t tell me I had to find the glass in my sheets. I contacted customer service about this and they refund me the money but that was all. I had an unintentional late cancellation that was a mistake. That they still charged me for. They also don’t have a phone number so when these things happen you have to contact them through email and wait for them to respond. There are better cleaning companies that will do more for the same money and have a way for you to actually talk to a person. Save yourself a headache and use another company.
Getting gaslit by a cleaning company is crazy
This was my first and last cleaning experience with them. This company did not notify me on when they would arrive to my unit. They left, not cleaning the unit due to claiming that there were cat feces/vomit. I clean up the feces/vomit, and I ask them to circle back after they finished another address. They then claimed that they would not clean the unit due to a strong odor.I had my friends help clean and move furniture the day before. I asked them if they smelled anything. They said no, and would’ve told me if they did. I didn’t smell anything either. I’m pretty sure this cleaning company just tried to gaslight me and get away with it, or just didn’t want to clean my unit, and blame it on me.Being a subpar cleaning company is one thing. Being a dishonest cleaning company is another. Due to this company, I will have to clean my own unit since my keys are due tomorrow, ruining any other plans I’ve had in place – causing a huge headache and inconvenience. If you love to waste your time and raise your cortisol levels, place a booking!

They are the worst cleaning company ever. I requested a premium deep cleaning with add-on services, I paid 220$, they came at 09:45 am and left at 11:42am. They left my home in a trash condition as they did not do even 20% of the chores I paid for( INTERIOR WINDOW CLEANING NOT DONE DOORS AND FRAMES CLEANING NOT DONE MOPPING AND VACCUMING THE FLOORS NOT DONE CLEANING THE BLINDS NOT DONE 45 MINUTES DECLUTTER NOT DONE SANITIZE THE DOORS HANDLES AND LIGHT SWITCHING NOT DONE BASEBORDS CLEANING NOT DONE KITCHEN BACKSPLASH CLEANING NOT DONE. And when I asked them not to leave without letting their manager calling me because they do not have a phone number to call ( the communication is through messages and their application ) They report me to the police claiming that I am forcing them to stay in my home and nothing of that happened I respectfully asked them to stay until someone from the company call me to explain whats going on.The police officer came, saw my home condition and I showed him the whole conversation, screenshot of my appointment( they removed my appointment details as I never booked it) he advised me to go with a lawyer and lawsuit against them because they violated my rights, took my money, threaten me and scared my kid and left.I definitely don’t recommend them.PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE NOT LISTENING TO THEIR COSTUMERS AND NOT CARE ABOUT THEM. I used Spruce cleaning on GREYSTAR recommendation and they were awful!I scheduled them twice. After the 1st cleaning on July 1st, they had left streaks all over the fridge and the island, they never dusted my tables in the living room. They unplugged my countertop appliances, and never plugged them back in, they made the bed never tucking in any part of the top sheet, and it didn’t look like they had washed the floor.After leaving a review with them, they gave me a $25 credit toward another cleaning and apologized. So I tried scheduling a second time.The second visit, again giving them a one-time building code and instructions to park on the 1st floor of the garage. July 22nd: They entered through the lobby, and someone called me saying they were on their way up. This time I had also requested that they vacuum the sofa because I have the cats. With this cleaning, they had left streaks all over the fridge and the island, they never dusted my tables in the living room. They unplugged my countertop appliances, and never plugged them back in, the sofa was still covered in cat hair, and this time not only did they not tuck the top sheet in on the bed, it was put on sideways!Upon contacting them again, they offered another $25 credit toward another cleaning, but I will never use them again!

I hired Spruce to come today to clean my apartment because I’m moving out. They were supposed to be here between nine and one I sat here from 8:30 in the morning till 245 waiting for them. They finally came at 2:45. Unfortunately they did a very half hazard job. They did not wash the windows in the second bathroom and the second bedroom. They didn’t dust the blinds in any of the bedrooms Didn’t mop the second bathroom at all. They Cancel Often!
Today my service was canceled due to the maid saying there was a rotten smell in my apartment. When I left this morning and returned this evening there is absolutely no rotten odor. What smells is the apartment lobby on the bottom floor is the complex that has absolutely nothing to do with my apartment. The maid entered my home, put my mail inside and left. She lied about the smell of my apartment. I even have wall plug ins throughout my home. My home does not smell and I’m appalled that it was described that way. Your maid lied to get out of cleaning my apartment. I was told that I was receiving a full refund but that does not fix what occurred. I paid for you all to clean and paid extra for my clothes to be folded and it was canceled because your maid is a liar. The maid is Vanessa. What will happen to her? I do not want Vanessa returning to my home. She has inconvenienced me to the extreme. I am a single mother who works as a school principal working 12-15 hours a day. I can afford for you all to clean my home NOT for you all to describe my home as rotten and inconvenience me. I’ve asked to speak to someone and no one gives me a number to call. This is the worst service I have experienced. Shame on you all for allowing this to happen and to trust Vanessa to enter homes and lie to get out of work.

I wish i would have read the reviews before booking this cleaning company. I am only giving a one star because you have to, otherwise they would not be getting a star. I paid $258 for a move out clean of my apartment. When I walked in to check it, the counters were not wiped down anywhere, and all floors were not vacuumed and/or mopped. I had to drop everything run around to get cleaning supplies, go back and finish the job I paid them to do, rushing the whole time because my keys were due. I paid to have it done so I would not have to worry about it, and this company created more stress to an already stressful time. You can’t talk to anyone on the phone, everything is all through email or their app. I asked for a partial refund, and after multiple emails they gave me a $50 refund, after having the nerve to try to give be a $25 gift card for the next service. This company is the worst and I will never use or recommend them to anyone again. Do not book with this company.
Amazing Review and Feel Bad Others Have Had Issues!
I feel kind of bad leaving this amazing review with so many who have had issues with Spruce. I only had an issue with my very first cleaning which was not done very well, but they did give a $50 credit for my next service. I wanted to give them another shot, so I booked again and the cleaner was BEYOND thorough and my place looked IMMACULATE! I have booked several times since then and have had the most amazing cleanings to my home. IDK if it is because both my husband and I work from home so we are both there when they are cleaning, but every time my place looks amazing and gives me such a sense of peace that I don’t have to super deep clean and can relax. The only other issue I had is that I had originally booked to have my dishes done, but forgot about it and did them myself. I canceled the service within the 48 hour window and they charged me $20. I thought this was ridiculous because the dishes were only a $15 add on. After emailing back and forth a few times they ended up refunding the charge, so overall.. I have had very good customer service and cleanings.

I would give a zero if I could. I used them because my apartment building has a contract with them so I can have my place cleaned without being home. I only asked to have my bathroom and floors done. This was not always done well but they frequently touched other rooms/things in my apartment. I did not mind every time because it was nice of them to fix my bed or fold the blanket on my couch. However, they ruined a velvet barstool after vacuuming it with what looks like had claws. I now have 5 deep lines etched into the barstool. They “investigated” but found they were not responsible because vacuuming the chairs was not part of my request so it wasn’t done. Even after I explained to them how many things I did not request were done, they denied any responsibility. They provide pictures after each cleaning. Even her pictures are of areas that I did not request to have cleaned so she was in other areas of my apartment doing things she was not asked to do. Clearly whoever came to my home is lying. This is not an isolated issue. Just one of many times I have had an issue with them but nothing was ever ruined until now. I would not trust them or use them. Unreliable service and horrible customer service.

Like the other reviewers have noted, Get Spruce is complete trash as a cleaning company. They are overpriced and there is no company number to call. They have the absolute worst customer service/communication & their cleaning is subpar yet expensive.

This was my first and last time using Spruce. I paid for a premium clean. The ladies arrived within the window and were walking out 45 minutes later. Nothing was dusted, nothing was even straightened up, and the bathroom mirror wasn’t cleaned. The only thing I can tell they did was mop and make up the bed and those were the only photos they took o f their work. Nowhere close to being worth $150. I’m very disappointed and would appreciate a partial refund.

I wish I didn’t have to give a star at all. This company is absolute trash. My apartment needed to be cleaned after they left. They re-entered my apartment after service was complete. They swept piles of dirt into the property hallway and left it there. They scratched my floors, dusted nothing, and did not treat my items with care. I literally have video proof of EVERYTHING. I contacted the company and the only resolve offered was a $50 credit off my next service. Ummm….no! There will be no NEXT SERVCE! I have contacted our property manager and shown them videos. They are also appalled. I will be contacting the BBB and my bank next if not refunded in full in the next 24 hours. Now to leave reviews on Google and Yelp and anywhere else I can. Beware!! They called me a liar when I have video proof with time stamps. They go by the time stamps of their “staff” in their app. I don’t think the police will agree that their manual timestamps are more accurate than my ring doorbell. Also there is no customer service number and NO ONE WILL CALL YOU. These cowards hide behind an app. I asked for a phone number or for a manager to call me more than once. Want the reviews removed? Refund my money that you have stolen.
Very shoddy work done, $107 wasted
cleaning work done today was extremely shoddy.My chairs still have dust, the vanity in the bathroom was not even wiped, the sink not cleaned. I had to tell the lady to mop under the table. My sofa was not dusted, there is dust and hair on the floors.The quality of cleaning was the worst in all of the cleanings that I have had with spruce so far. I am extremely disappointed, the price has gone up and the quality has gone down so bad that usually I don’t give negative reviews, but I am forced to do so here. My $107 has gone down the drain.It was an extremely quick clean, in the past the ladies did not need to be told, they dusted the furniture and the kitchen and bathroom sparkled. today, my apartment looks barely clean. The shampoo/soaps etc on the bathtub have been pushed haphazardly, the place where the soap dish is kept is not even touched.Very bad job done, they did the bare minimum and were in and out in less than 45 mins or so, and not something i expected from a signature clean.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Had a scheduled appt and received a text message that cleaner was on the way. I have 3 floors in my apt so I went downstairs to wait and was working in the meantime. They sent a text message at 10am stating they were at the door which I missed the text due to working but NO ONE knocked at my door!! They lied and said they did for 15 minutes when I was sitting 5 steps away. I don’t work on the phones so my house was quiet. Now they are saying I have to reschedule for another day but ehat kind of company lies about knocking at a door? SMH
