OK, I’m updating/amending the review I submitted a couple weeks or so ago, and updating the star rating as well. My initial review will remain unchanged below, just because I think it was an honest one at the time, it explained what had happened and I felt it was not totally unreasonable. Read it or not, your choice, but… Almost immediately after posting my initial review, I received a response from Kyle with Pawn America, offering both his sincere apologies for the guitar’s condition on receipt and also followed up with a prepaid return label to use should I choose to return the guitar to them. He was most understanding and accommodating in this regard. He additionally pointed out a few other possibilities for the instrument’s condition on receipt, which I was already aware of and couldn’t argue against… The simple fact is that $..t happens sometimes. The top cracks the instrument had weren’t necessarily their fault, but they were more than willing to make things right in this regard. To imply that these issues may have been preexisting and not noted in the guitar’s condition notes was perhaps unfair of me. I greatly appreciate their willingness to fix things promptly, and I thought my initial review should be amended and the rating upgraded purely on their responsiveness, actions and understanding. So, FIVE STARS to Kyle and Pawn America for their customer service! I realize also that my earlier use of the term “as-is” may have had different meaning to other folks, and I certainly don’t mean to suggest any unwillingness on their part to accept a product return. It’s simply that their items are pre-owned, and not new. They may have dings and dents… As it is, I have chosen to keep this instrument despite the top cracks. I’ll do the cleating and crack repairs myself and get it back up and running, so to speak. In the end, all that really needs to be said is that Pawn America did everything that they needed to do to get me the item I had ordered, it was packaged very well, received in good time, and when issues became apparent they made every effort to make things right. That’s 5-star customer service, and thank you Kyle and Pawn America!My initial review should you be interested:OK, this will be a rather mixed review for a couple of reasons… so that’s why only the 3 star rating. First off a disclaimer: I am a repeat customer w/Pawn America, and overall, generally satisfied with their offerings and service, whether through their website or eBay. I can’t state as an absolute fact that all their different locations are of equal quality, but those I’ve purchased from have been good. Their customer communications are good, prompt and complete. Purchased items have all shipped promptly and were received in good shape. Their shipping, packaging and service levels are 5-star. Understand that given their items are purchased “used” and presumably were pawned items, they’ll be received in used, “as-is” condition. In this particular case, it’s the guitar’s description that was just a bit lacking in it’s completeness. The only condition note besides general usage dings, dents and minor scratches was minor lifting of the bridge. Yes, there is a bit, and it’s minor, and not an unrepairable problem. However, there are 3 significant top cracks which weren’t noted in their listing, and they will each need cleating underneath. Two parallel cracks behind the bridge ends, and one just a bit below the sound hole. These are not open top cracks, but they’re physically palpable, you can feel all three as your fingers run across them. They probably wouldn’t show up in photographs, no matter how good the pictures were. As there appeared to be no visible shipping damage, plus the guitar was double boxed and quite well padded, it seems as if the cracks were likely preexisting and not caused en-route by the shipper, FedEx. As this guitar has a silk screened top with a matte finish, any repair work necessary has a good chance of further damaging the top’s graphics. OK, so having said that, I’m somewhat disappointed in the condition of this guitar on receipt, but I think I’ll likely keep it anyway. I knew it was as-is and there’s always a chance there will be unknown damages. That’s the name of the game with any online instrument purchases. I just wish those cracks had been noted beforehand, but I also know the Pawn America people are not necessarily luthiers by trade. Chalk it up as a “you pays your money, you takes your chances” or “buyer beware” sort of transaction. To be honest, it probably won’t be my last purchase with Pawn America either, but I will certainly use just a bit more caution in the future regards an item’s condition notes and pictures… maybe even ask for additional info or more photos if available.

I purchased a ring. This was my first time purchasing through this site. I read reviews before buying. The ring arrived exactly when promised. It is absolutely stunning. I am so happy with my purchase. I have not taken it to a jeweler to have it appraised. But it looks beautiful. My diamond tester confirms it is a diamond. The inside is stamped 14k. So everything seems on the up and up. I am incredibly happy it looks absolutely beautiful.

Not that it was a deal-breaker, but the power cable was not included when the item shipped. It also sat at the store for two days after the shipping label had been created, so delivery took a little more time than expected.

The shipping tracker wasn’t working, so I called customer service and reached a real person who explained why I was having difficulty and updated me on the expected delivery date and time. I also wasn’t able to apply a discount because I had no code, but the customer service rep gave me the discount after the fact.Everything arrived as expected.I had never heard from PawnAmerica before, but I would use them again!

i bought a ps5 slim from pawn america, i was a lil nervous at first but after doing research it seemed legit, delivery only took a couple days and the shipping tracking was great. when i got the console i inspected it and it was absolutely perfect condition i cant even find any marks. the console was very nicely packed in the box with bubble wrap and packing peanuts. came with everything it said. i am very happy with m experience considering i got the best deal i found after a month of searching.

We wanted to make this purchase for so long and were so excited when we learned about Pawn America! We contacted them by phone to make certain that someone there could physically see the item we were asking about because it was expensive (a new Xbox X) and upon hanging up made the purchase immediately! It’s hard to pass up a $600 system when it’s $300! We received the item, packed extremely well, within 7 days. My only issue is that it stated that the included controller was said to be wireless and it isn’t. Regardless, the system is perfect. It came with all of the cords and has no issues. I’m often concerned about purchasing any type of electrical item that’s pre-owned because you never know what type of home it was located in previously and there may have been bugs and cigarette smoke there among other things. That’s definitely not something I want in my home. I’ve seen no sign of anything like that and we’ve had no trouble. We will absolutely be buying from them again!(EDIT:!) OH MY GOSH! THE SERVICE! Floored is an understatement! 28 minutes after I left this review my phone rang. It was Pawn America. They wanted to know where the issue was with the controller and when I explained that I felt like it could have been a misunderstanding on my part, the gentleman on the phone said, looking at the way the ad was written it did say wireless and they turned around and offered me a $30 refund to purchase a new controller, a game, etc.. this is not a refund specific with them (like returning something to Walmart and they give you your money back on a Walmart gift card) it’s money they sent back to me through PayPal because of the misunderstanding. I don’t know anyone with customer service like this anymore! They have absolutely set the bar so high for everybody else out there! My husband and I have agreed we will be watching The Pawn America website and spending the refund with them because they have absolutely earned our business and our recommendations from here on out 🙂 Edit: 2/27/25That refund remains to be seen and PA says they don’t know what happened to it… It’s quite a shame really. I don’t know who to believe but they each claim the other is at fault .. don’t know that I’ll be dealing with either of them now. At this point it’s not really as bout the money .. if I can’t trust you though, you don’t get my business ‍♀️

I was nervous about the purchase. It can be tricky with guitars from making sure the item is described correctly to the correct procedure for shipping. The pictures that were provided were top notch. The packing was done reasonably and the item got to me unharmed. The description was accurate. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Order was taken and shipped quickly enough. Description was fairly accurate. The airbrush had small areas of dried paint around the cup, but other than that it was complete and in very good condition.

Absolutely love my new fashion multi-gemstone ring. Even if buying online they will answer the phone and answer questions. They don’t offer discounts though, the jewelry is already priced fair enough for the quality. Definitely worth a look if you’re in the market for something.
