Upgrade on MyHeritage Plan
I was contacted by Demitre shortly after noon time today and he was very helpful and patient in explaining all the details of upgrading my present MyHeritage plan to a more inclusive plan that is more cost effective than the two other plans that I previously paid for separately. Software is the best for genealogy
Software is the best that I’ve used for genealogy and is constantly adding features.It tells you what is historical data and what is data from other user’s websites with brown and green dots as indicators, so a lack of dots indicates that you may be on the wrong track or your dates are wrong.The DNA data that I uploaded has been very helpful for adding previously unknown cousins to my genealogy charts.

Scam: DNA kit stuck at “raw data created” status.No help from MyHeritage at all, super useless support-chatbot, no email availability.Paid but didn’t get any results.

After been scammed by a hacker on my previous Family Tree programme, I needed to find somewhere safe. I found MyHeritage, I was lucky to be offered a reasonable subscription, but am worried about the renewal price.
Check your E-mail address before you change it.
I had a lot of people trying to help me fix an error in my log in which they finally did. The process was difficult but they kept at it till it was resolved. Much appreciated.

Strange how the moment your free month up the Dna is said to be awaiting result. I feel sure its so you pay years subscription. I had search from Ancestry uk who brought up a lot of info. In the free month Heritage got nothing much. As Israeli site do you mainly focus on Jewish blood line? So is it not so good??

They charge firstly for the kits and then you register so you can see the results, however, regisatration is a hidden charge for subs, yes they charge you for a website ??? Which is basically a customer area, the same area anyone making an online purchase gets for free, but these bandits think they are a dropbox service, holding swathes of data for you but in reality it is kilobytes.

Disappointed in My Heritage
Member of our family have been investigating accurately, yet they are being removed from our family tree and information is being changed without our permission.If we provide accurate information, why is it not being confirmed by My Heritage and why is there always the same disinformation being displayed on the Website?What is the point of a website that can’t assist there clients! We pay, we research and manage, etc. What is it that My Heritage actually do? Store information. I can do that for fee.

I joined my heritage some time ago. To say that it has been a rewarding experience. Is an understatement. I have gained so much pleasure, from learning about my ‘family’ my ancestors. I also did my DNA omg that was amazing and wonderful to connect with family lost.

Search Engine Needs Work
For the most part, I absolutely LOVE this site and would give it five stars if not for the fact that the search option is very frustrating! When searching, I always check the “exact match” box and usually end up with 100s or even 1000s of “matches” that are not even remotely close to what the search parameters were (similar to how Amazon’s search engines work!). IF they were to fine-tune the search engine, I’d certainly give it five stars.

I don’t know how to add a partner that already exist in the family tree. My grandfathers sister married my grandmothers brother who created a tree of 26 persons. Thus, I need to have dubletts of the 2+26 persons! That had to be fixed!!!

Very slow on getting results
I have yet to get my results back on either kit. One we had to do all over and on mine they say the sex doesn’t match. I keep getting emails to pay $199 to join. I think this is all a gimic to get more money. Family members sent 2 off to Ancestry. com and received results in 3 week or less. Its been nearly 3 months

Disgusting failure to assist. Failure to respond to questions and request for assistance. “Chat monitors” that drop you and don’t give guidance. Web page Family Tree that doesn’t permit editing. Failure to prioritize the most applicable research from others. Maybe AI will do better than limited human intelligence of your employees.
App Issues and Sudden Phone Calls
The website works fine but if I’m working on the app for more than an hour at a time it stops being responsive. It is incredibly frustrating. For example, there will be matches I’m trying to review but the links or documents will stop opening without me shutting down the app and trying to get back to where I was. Then, for some reason, MyHeritage has started calling me almost every day. They don’t leave messages and even called once on a Saturday. So, I finally answered the phone. They thanked me for being a customer and asked me what I thought about MyHeritage. When I started explaining they either hung up on me or we got disconnected. They did not call back. My assumption is they were wanting me to upgrade and pay more for some other package.

Read the fine prints and you’ll have nothing to complain about. Was given excellent help from the support team.Not sure how accurate the tests are compared to other companies but for almost a third of the price it’s well worth it.
What an awful company to deal with
What an awful company to deal with! No way of contacting them apart from via their website which they state they will respond with seven days. Contacted them on 11th, 18th and 28th February but no reply. I was one day late in cancelling my free trial due to a family bereavement, the cancellation was acknowledged but then I had £114.50 taken out of my account. I admit I am at fault for not reading the 28 pages of terms and conditions, but honestly who has time for that? There website state that “MyHeritage offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for subscription plans, allowing customers to request a full refund within 30 days of being charged by contacting customer support” but this is obviously not true so do not sign up with this company

My Heritage has the same mistakes as Ancestry. I believe difficult to correct as it is self entering information. The problem is the members. I find not enough certified information. Amateurs entering unverified information. “Looks good and entered” The info is then replicated and accepted.This makes researchers like myself crazy trying to get through the misinformation. What a waste of time!Also, u advertise free download of Family Tree DNA data to Heritage but unable to use it in that form. So frustrating!!!

It allowed me to see a family book in pdf of 600+ pages showing mega data, including all names, locations, sources, family trees. Exceptional!
