When booking for 4 seniors, I was under the impression I was booking 2 rooms but it was not clear while checking out that I had 2 separate rooms. Didn’t find out until the day of embarkment that there was a mix up… so now 2 seniors have to hop up onto a bunk? Ridiculous. Don’t book shore excursions through here either, they don’t show up on the cruise app. Customer service agents don’t even respond in a timely manner to emails. Avoid at all costs, never again.

We are girl friends of 4 travelling for the 1st time with Celebrity to celebrate our 50 year-old birthdays together. While the other balcony room was booked at cheaper price like almost the same time our room is booked. We will leave it with the ship’s good hand to give us a room that will make our experience life-time one! Booking flow and experience is smooth. Liked it! Looking forwards to the sail in 6 months!!

This is the first time our family decided to book through cruisedirect instead of directly through Royal.Honestly we feel like it wasn’t worth the hassle.We knew we would have to add another person to our trip but had to make sure first if they could commit to the days.We were told it wouldn’t be an issue and very easy to do.We booked our two rooms for a family of four in October 2024.Added one more passenger in January 2025.First issue: We weren’t advised that we would need a bigger room for three, which made the rate go almost $300 higher. Fine, we go ahead and do these changes.Second issue: We paid the full amount for 4 passengers when we booked in October. When we tried to pay yesterday for the one person we had left to pay for, it was showing that we owed all the amounts of our vacation.Third issue: It took literally forever through chat to get things sorted out.You would think that the payment history would clearly show how much has been paid so far. Nope, two agents kept telling us that we owed full amounts for both rooms. It took two days for us to get things cleared up.The site isn’t very user friendly and seems to us now that it’s not very user friendly for their agents because it was so hard for them to figure it out.If you are keeping your original booking maybe it’s worth it but if you are doing any changes I would be very aware.Hopefully we don’t have any other unpleasant surprises when we actually go on vacation.Only positive is that it really did seem like the agents on the chat were trying their best.

I found the representatives to be very helpful, personable, and generous in their time. They worked hard to find a cruise for me that fit my needs. Unfortunately one of my cruises that was on hold was cancelled within hours by the cruise line. The representatives worked as a team to rectify that. Be careful around putting your cruise on hold. Cruise lines may put your reservation on hold but you risk losing the reservation. Hats off to the team!
