Avant-Garde Moving

I hired the Avant-Garde team to assist with a moving project. Their team was on-site earlier than anticipated, and got to work immediately to move and take furniture apart (when needed). They also reassembled the furniture at the target location with the same amount of efficiency and care. Would absolutely recommend, and would use their services again!

Everyone I came in contact with, from the first phone call to the crew on moving day were all very professional, friendly, and helpful. The movers were very efficient and handled everything with care, and they were so nice too! We had to move my mother’s furniture out of her apartment after she passed away and Avant Garde was so easy to work with – it all went smoothly and was stress-free. I am very grateful for their help during a difficult time.

Such a pleasant experience. The excellent communication standard began from the first inquiry. We felt informed during the quoting process without any sales pressure.The proudly maintained ‘venetian red’ moving truck rolled up to our Manhattan apartment on time and without fuss. The friendly and well bonded team had two speciality crews within it. One focusing on heavier and dismantling, and the other working on the minutiae. Things like medicine cabinets and our 3 year old daughter’s doll house were handled with grace and precision.The apartment was left empty and in great condition. The team drove upstate to our new house and found us with ease.We opted for the additional unpacking cost as well and it probably saved the healthy marriage between my wife and I. Like a harmonious union of attentive and muscular elves, our new home was unpacked in good time and any key instructions followed to the t. The team wrapped up all the boxes and packing tape in the back of their truck, leaving behind only a happily moved family, their possessions in the right place and the abundance of time to enjoy the rest of their earthy lives together.

Great team — took great care of my daughter’s and roommate’s household — greater care than expected taken and thus final bill nearly double first quote (little surprise there!) but luckily we were able to pay for it and glad to. This is a very professional high-end crew — hope the company’s quotes in future reflect this and come as no surprise to customers.

I would use this company over and over again. Initially reaching out I dealt with Tony, who was very attentive. He answered all of my questions, assisted me with what I needed, and made setting the moving date really easy. I was provided a fair quote that did not change after the move and no hidden fees which was great.The moving crew was amazing, they came on time, packed our items with care, and helped out with some interior design recommendations. We didn’t have to lift a finger. They were all so nice, humorous, and hard-working. And they work quickly! The whole process took about three hours. Thanks again!

Tony was always available to take my call, very fairly priced, had amazing communication and followup skills, was patient and flexible with my date changes and the items I had to move and seemed very eager to make this move stress free for me. you guys changed crew, there were some amazing guys that were experts and did a fantastic job for me in 2023. the new crew was young and struggled with basics of handling items carefully, i had an oil leak that destroyed some of my items and books. a few of my items were broken. will be looking elsewhere if there is a next time.

They not only moved our enormous amount of stuff but also stored EVERYTHING for almost 2 years. They pack and unpack so carefully, and storage condition was excellent. When unpacked, they provided organizing service as well, which was a big help afterward when getting situated. They know how to handle sensitive items. Highly recommend!!
